The situation in Kharkiv after the missile strike
According to ТСН: In Kharkiv, at the site of the missile strike, fragments of another person's body have been found. The strike was carried out by Russian forces on January 2 against the residential area of the city.
The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, noted in his statement on Telegram:
“Another body fragment has been found at the site of Friday's explosions. Thus, the number of dead from Friday's explosions has risen to five.”
It is reminded that on January 2, during an air alert in Kharkiv, the Russian forces carried out a missile strike on the residential sector. The fire hit a five-story residential building in the Kyiv district.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synehubov, reported that two missiles were used for the attack on the residential area.
This tragedy has become yet another confirmation of the threatening situation in Ukraine, where civilians are becoming victims of armed conflicts. Conducting investigations and providing assistance to the affected population are becoming a priority for local authorities and the state as a whole. The situation in the region is expected to remain tense in the coming days.
