Heat Restored to 1100 Kyiv Apartment Blocks Following Attack.
Heating Situation in Kyiv
According to TSN.ua: The heating situation in Kyiv has improved, with warmth now restored to 1100 multi-story apartment buildings. This follows a February 12th attack that initially left 2600 buildings without heat. In total, heating has now been returned to residents of 1500 buildings.
The attack damaged facilities at the city's TPP-5 and TPP-6 thermal power plants. At one station, the damage included gas distribution and compressor units, as well as the destruction of circulation pumps and the water treatment system. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, repairs to TPP-5 were expected to take one day, while TPP-6 would require two days to restore.

Restoring heat to Kyiv is a critical step in maintaining the city's stability, especially during the winter months. This effort is part of a broader, ongoing struggle to maintain essential services for civilians during the ongoing conflict. The city's administration continues to work on eliminating the consequences of the attack, reaffirming its commitment to providing comfortable conditions for residents. Further monitoring of the heating supply remains a priority as infrastructure recovery is a key focus for local authorities.
