After the shelling on January 9: Kyiv has restored electricity for 588 thousand families.
Restoration of electricity supply in Kyiv
According to ТСН: As of the morning of January 10, energy workers have restored electricity supply for 588 thousand families in Kyiv who were left without power due to the massive shelling on January 9.
This was reported by the DTEK press service on Telegram.
In the Left Bank of the capital, about 60 thousand families are still without electricity. The company notes that repair crews are working around the clock and making every effort to restore power to all Kyiv residents throughout the day.
“In the Left Bank of Kyiv, emergency outages continue in the Holosiivskyi and Pecherskyi districts. The rest of the districts are returning to the outage schedules. We will publish them in the next message,” DTEK's announcement said.
The company also urges residents to turn on powerful electrical appliances in turns to maintain the stability of the power grid:
“We ask Kyiv residents, if possible, to use powerful electrical appliances in turns. This will help maintain system stability.”
Recall that previously experts discussed the reasons for the shelling of the Left Bank of Ukraine and the resilience of the energy system to attacks and frost.
The situation with electricity supply in Kyiv remains difficult, especially for residents of the Left Bank. DTEK continues to work on restoring electricity, and Kyiv residents are advised to exercise caution when using electrical appliances. It is important to maintain system stability, especially under conditions where electricity supply is under significant loads.
