Germany detains organizer of railway sabotage: his connection to the Russian Federation

According to ТСН: In Germany, a Ukrainian has been detained on suspicion of organizing a series of sabotage activities commissioned by Russian special services. The man was extradited from Switzerland seven months after his arrest.

According to the investigation, the suspect, along with two accomplices, planned to carry out serious operations on the railway. Their plan involved arson and explosions during freight transport across the country.

The criminals intended to send packages from Germany to Ukraine, inside which there were disguised explosive and incendiary devices that were supposed to activate during transportation by train.

Investigation and Arrest

The investigation established that preparations for the crimes began as early as spring. In March, one of the group members sent two 'trial' packages with GPS trackers from Cologne to verify the route and logistics. In May, the main organizer of the sabotage was detained in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, while his accomplices were arrested in the cities of Cologne and Constance.

The investigation revealed that the sponsors of the sabotage have direct connections with the Russian Federation, and the aim of the attacks is to destabilize Germany's logistics chains and complicate transportation. All three suspects are currently in custody, and the organizer was recently delivered to Karlsruhe, where the investigating judge of the Federal Court of Germany chose a preventive measure for him.

It's also worth noting that the District Court in Warsaw issued a European arrest warrant for two suspects involved in the railway sabotage who fled to Belarus.

Earlier, it was reported that sabotage on railway tracks in Poland occurred on November 15 and 17.

At the same time, Telegram channels for job searches are trying to recruit Ukrainian teenagers for terrorist activities.

This incident underscores the serious threats that European countries face amid ongoing tensions due to conflicts in eastern Ukraine. Support from special services to identify and prevent such threats is becoming increasingly important, as the safety of citizens is the number one priority. The investigation continues, and it is crucial that all those involved in organizing such actions are punished.
