Drone Strike Hits Kharkiv Apartment Building: Two Women Wounded, Children Among the Injured.
Kharkiv Under Attack
According to UATV: On April 2, 2023, Russian forces launched a drone attack on Kharkiv, striking a multi-story residential building in the Kyivskyi district. The assault sparked fires on the second and third floors of the structure. Two women, aged 61 and 52, sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
This incident was not an isolated one: since the start of the day, the enemy had shelled Kharkiv 11 times, with all attacks concentrated in the Kyivskyi district. Additionally, in the village of Lymanivka in the Lozivskyi district, a stadium field was damaged and windows of a residential house were blown out. It was also reported that three children were harmed as a result of the attack.
Oleh Syniehubov: 'We know of two victims: a 61-year-old and a 52-year-old woman suffered blast injuries, and they are receiving all necessary medical care.'
Ihor Terekhov: 'Most of the enemy drones were jet-powered, and the enemy used them against Kharkiv for the first time.'
These events highlight the escalating situation in the region and the growing threats to civilians.
Ukraine's Broader Situation
The attack on Kharkiv occurred amid an intensification of the conflict in Ukraine, endangering the lives of peaceful residents. The use of new types of weapons, such as jet-powered drones, confirms the escalation of violence, which could lead to even greater destruction and civilian casualties. Authorities and medical services are working to assist the victims, but the situation remains critical, and further shelling is likely.
