Ukraine Prepares for Integration into the European Labor Market.
The Government of Ukraine has approved the Action Plan for joining the European Employment Services Network (EURES). This marks the first step towards integration into the European labor market and the free movement of workers. The plan involves preparatory activities to lay the groundwork for joining EURES.
The preparatory measures include exploring opportunities related to the compatibility of Ukrainian systems with the EURES requirements and implementing regulations that will enable Ukraine to effectively collaborate with European labor force databases.
"Besides the need to ensure legislative compatibility of existing Ukrainian systems with European standards, there must be relevant technical compatibility for effective matching of vacancies and resumes. For this, we need to improve internal information systems, adapt certain technical aspects to ensure the compliance of data required for EURES," stated Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Currently, EURES supports the free movement of labor across 31 countries of the European Union and the European Economic Area. The platform hosts over 4 million vacancies, making it convenient and effective for job seekers and employers in Europe.
