Ukraine Shifts the Battlefield Into Russia: Missile and Drone Plants Hit.
Conflict Intensifies
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine is now actively moving combat operations onto Russian soil, targeting military infrastructure deep inside the country. Deputy Defense Minister Oleksiy Vyskub confirmed strikes on Russian facilities that produce components for missiles and drones. According to his statement, only two plants in Russia manufacture such parts. One of them, Kremniy El in Bryansk, has been deemed beyond repair.
Among the farthest-reaching attacks was one against Metafrax Chemicals in the Perm region, located more than 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine. Russian authorities reported that over 250 aerial objects were detected near Moscow in just the past two days. As a result, only one of Moscow’s four international airports—Vnukovo—remains fully operational.
Shift in Military Strategy
The deputy defense minister stated: 'Ukraine is gradually bringing the war to Russia, systematically striking the aggressor’s military infrastructure.'
He also emphasized that 'the war Russia brought to Ukraine is slowly coming home.' In response, Russia has launched up to 50,000 Shahed drones against Ukraine, but Ukrainian air defenses are neutralizing 80–90% of them. These developments mark a clear escalation and a change in both sides’ military strategies.
These Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory represent a new phase in the conflict, one that could alter its trajectory. Targeting strategically vital sites may reduce Russia’s military capabilities while boosting morale among Ukrainian troops and civilians. At the same time, Russia continues its own aggressive operations, raising the risk of further destabilization across the region.
