Ukraine and IFC agreed on joint projects in the energy and housing sectors.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed cooperation with the International Finance Corporation
During a meeting with the delegation of the International Finance Corporation, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed the continuation of cooperation between Ukraine and IFC. It was also agreed to implement joint projects in the energy and housing sectors.
'Business will play a major role in recovery. We discussed ways to attract private capital. We rely on the experience and support of IFC in this direction,' said Denys Shmyhal.
The head of government discussed initiatives for the future recovery of Ukraine, pointing out key priorities such as energy, housing, critical infrastructure, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, the parties considered opportunities to expand cooperation into new sectors, as well as plans to work within the Unified Project Portfolio of public investments.
'We are strengthening our work within the Unified Project Portfolio of public investments,' emphasized the Prime Minister.
Denys Shmyhal also expressed gratitude for the financial assistance to Ukraine and noted the importance of the financial program to support Ukrainian businesses amounting to $2 billion. The initiative to allocate 25 million euros in grants from the EU for the modernization of housing for internally displaced persons was also highlighted.
Ukraine continues to actively cooperate with international financial institutions for the development of the country and support of important sectors of the economy. The meeting of Prime Minister Shmyhal with the IFC delegation is yet another step towards strengthening cooperation and implementing new projects.
