According to Novyny.live: Ukraine and Moldova have agreed to establish a new vehicle border crossing point on their shared frontier, which will process both passenger cars and trucks. The crossing will be situated in Ukraine's Vinnytsia region, specifically between the existing checkpoints of Yampil and Cosăuți. Border traffic will flow across the Yampil Bridge spanning the Dniester River.

This new agreement builds upon a 1997 intergovernmental treaty that governs the operation of border crossings between the two nations. As of early 2026, there are approximately 17 crossing points along the Ukraine-Moldova border, which are either fully operational or partially functioning. Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, stated that the crossing will operate around the clock and will be open to both passenger vehicles and freight trucks.
