Fuel Cashback Program for Ukrainians: Which Gas Stations Are Taking Part.
Cashback on Fuel Purchases in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: Starting now, Ukrainian drivers can earn cashback when buying fuel at participating gas stations under the state-run 'National Cashback' initiative. The program runs until May 1, 2026, and aims to ease consumer costs by refunding a portion of their spending.
Cashback applies only to cashless payments. The refund rate depends on the fuel type:
- 15% for diesel
- 10% for gasoline
- 5% for autogas (LPG)
The maximum monthly cashback per person is capped at 1,000 Ukrainian hryvnias for fuel, with an overall program limit of 3,000 hryvnias per month across all eligible purchases.
Nearly 20 gas station chains are involved, including UKRNAFTA, WOG, OKKO, UPG, BRSM-Nafta, and SOCAR. Cashback accruals appear in the 'Diia' app the day after a purchase, and payouts are processed by the end of the following month.
How to Get Cashback
To qualify, citizens need to follow a few straightforward steps:
- Fill up the vehicle with fuel
- Pay for the refueling using a bank card
- Receive the accrual
Earned cashback can be spent on utility bills, Ukrainian-made food products, medicine and medical supplies, books, postal services, or donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The 'National Cashback' program is part of a broader government effort to bolster the economy and assist consumers amid ongoing challenges.
The launch of the 'National Cashback' program highlights the Ukrainian government's focus on supporting its population during economic hardships, particularly inflation and rising fuel prices.
