Ukrainians will be able to 'benefit' from buckwheat and toilet paper at 'Ukrposhta' for a thousand of Zelensky.

The program 'Winter eSupport' is in effect, which provides financial assistance in the amount of 1000 hryvnias to citizens of Ukraine, persons with disabilities, and pensioners.

Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk, a Member of Parliament, reported that these funds can be obtained at 'Ukrposhta' branches for those who do not use the 'Diia' portal.

The Deputy expressed her concerns regarding the conditions for using state aid and noted that the targeted goods for spending the funds are limited: 'Those who receive this winter support through 'Ukrposhta' may be disappointed. Since they will only be allowed to spend funds on goods sold by 'Ukrposhta'. And these include toilet paper, buckwheat, magazines. I don't know what they sell there, different branches have different assortments,' emphasized Vasylevska-Smahliuk.

The Deputy, who is the deputy head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, highlighted the importance of this program for socially vulnerable segments of the population and added that many people are contacting them regarding obtaining this support and registration.

Ihor Smilianskyi, the CEO of the postal operator, spoke about the details of using the funds. Recipients can spend these funds on paying utility bills, topping up mobile phones, buying food products, household items, Ukrainian publications, and medicines.

The program is aimed at the audience: pensioners and persons with disabilities of the first and second groups, among whom there are about 2 million Ukrainians receiving social benefits through the postal operator.

The start of payments for the 'Winter eSupport' program is scheduled for December 4.
