Forecast Predicts Intense Cold Spell for Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine is preparing for a severe cold snap, with temperatures expected to drop as low as -25 degrees Celsius in the capital, Kyiv. This frigid weather is forecast to last for several days, with a gradual easing predicted from February 5th onward. This extreme weather event poses significant challenges to infrastructure and public safety.
On the night of February 1st to 2nd, temperatures across the country will range from -18 to -23 degrees Celsius, with the northern and western regions potentially experiencing lows of -23 to -25 degrees. During the day on February 1st, the mercury will hover between -12 and -17 degrees. Southern Ukraine will see slightly milder, yet still severe, conditions of -10 to -15 degrees at night and -5 to -10 degrees during the day.
In Kyiv, temperatures are set to fall to -20 to -22 degrees on the night of February 1st-2nd. The capital will see a daytime high of around -15 degrees on February 2nd, with late evening temperatures potentially plunging to -25 degrees. Authorities have issued a red-level danger warning in response to the forecast.

A gradual warming trend is expected to begin after February 5th, which should bring relief and improve conditions nationwide.
