Electricity Price Frozen Until 2026: What Ukrainians Will Pay.
New Electricity Rate Announced
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine’s government has set a new household electricity tariff at 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. This price will remain unchanged at least until April 30, 2026. After that date, potential adjustments could occur depending on the state of the energy infrastructure and further government decisions.
Discounted Rates for Certain Consumer Groups
Additionally, reduced tariffs have been introduced for specific categories of consumers, including:
- condominium associations (OSBBs),
- dormitories,
- summer house cooperatives,
- religious organizations
This measure aims to support socially vulnerable groups and ensure affordable electricity access for diverse consumer segments.
As a result, the new electricity tariff provides a degree of stability in the energy sector for the next few years, allowing households to better plan their expenses.
Setting this fixed rate is a key step toward financial stability for both consumers and the national energy system. It may help reduce financial risks for households, especially amid the economic challenges facing Ukraine. Keeping discounted rates for certain groups also reflects the government’s focus on supporting vulnerable populations, which could contribute to social stability across the country.
