The mayor of Netishyn in Khmelnytskyi region, Oleksandr Suprunyuk, refutes the information of the Security Service about the purchase of substandard FPV drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kyiv-based LLC "Dronika". In a comment to "Glavkom", the official provided video evidence of the operation of the mentioned UAVs on the front line, as well as relayed the words of one of the military:

"Today there was an assault, 300-500 m to the positions. Destroyed three tanks, three APCs, and three IFVs. Show our community the importance of drones on the front line".

As Suprunyuk emphasized, many letters of thanks for the supplied FPV drones are coming from the military. In addition, representatives of LLC "Dronika" trained two teachers from Netishyn to assemble drones for free.

According to the mayor, drones from LLC "Dronika" were sent to more than 60 brigades and military units in total.

"There were no complaints from anyone. Only praise," added Oleksandr Suprunyuk.

The Security Service and the National Police blocked a scheme to embezzle the state budget for the procurement of UAVs for the Defense Forces. According to the investigation, the scheme was organized by the director of a private company from Kyiv region, which specializes in the production of unmanned systems.

According to Glavkom's sources, the suspect is the owner and director of LLC "Dronika", Bohdan Dovbysh. His company was established in November 2022 and ended last year with a net profit of 5.38 million UAH.

At the beginning of this year, the entrepreneur won a tender for the purchase of 1,000 FPV drones for the needs of the Armed Forces, held by the Netishyn City Council.

The total value of the concluded contracts was 16.4 million UAH, of which, according to the investigation, the owner of the manufacturing company stole almost a third.

To implement the scheme, contractors installed low-quality navigation equipment on the drones. We are talking about cameras and video transmitters that did not meet the declared technical specifications of the UAVs.

Thus, the suspect artificially reduced the cost of manufacturing the drones and pocketed the "difference".

The "markup" on each drone ranged from 4 to 7.5 thousand UAH, depending on its type.

After conducting an audit and a special examination for compliance with the technical requirements of the product, law enforcement officers received additional confirmations of the entrepreneur's criminal activity.

Based on the evidence, he was notified of suspicion under part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misappropriation of property through abuse of office, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy in conditions of martial law on an especially large scale).
