On Monday, November 18, trams and trolleybuses will not run in the city of Odesa. Instead, public transport will be partially replaced by buses received as humanitarian aid. This was reported by the mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov.
Unfortunately, the city electric transport will not work on November 18
Trukhanov noted that plans are already in place to provide alternative transport.
We have humanitarian buses that are usually not operated by municipal enterprises. However, we have decided that if we have drivers available, we will put these buses on routes, and while electricity is being restored, transport will be free
Regarding the restoration of electricity, Trukhanov stated that electricity is gradually returning to the facilities that are critically important for the city.
As systems are filled with water, we are connecting heating to the residential buildings of Odesites. However, unfortunately, not all residents have received heat and water yet
DTEK Odesa Electric Networks has reported that it is currently impossible to supply electricity to critically important facilities in the Kyivsky (Tairova microdistrict) and Primorsky (Arcadia microdistrict) districts of the city.
