Explosions in Odesa due to drone attack

According to ТСН: On the night of December 31, several explosions occurred in Odesa as a result of an attack by strike drones. Hits were recorded in two districts of the city, damaging high-rise buildings.

The head of the Odesa Ministry of Internal Affairs, Serhiy Lysak, reported that enemy UAVs targeted civilian infrastructure.

“Hits were recorded in high-rise buildings in two districts of the city. A fire broke out in one of the apartments,”
he noted.

As a result of the attack, four people were injured, including three children:

  • an infant, 7 months - in moderate condition;

  • a boy, 14 years - in fair condition;

  • a girl, 8 years - in moderate condition;

  • a man, 42 years - in serious condition.

All victims were hospitalized, and they are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

 

“All necessary services are working on site. The buildings are being inspected,”
he added.

The Odesa military administration noted that drones attacked residential, logistical, and energy infrastructures of the region.

“In Odesa, as a result of falling debris and direct hits, facades and glazing of several high-rise residential buildings were damaged. Fires broke out in apartments of one of the buildings. Civilian vehicles have been damaged by fire. There is information about casualties. Data is being verified,”
reported the head of the Odesa military administration Oleg Kiper.

Earlier, it was reported that explosions were heard in Odesa during the air raid alarm on the night of December 31. It later became clear that in some parts of the city, electricity, water, and heating supply were lost due to the attack of enemy strike drones.

This attack highlights the alarming situation in the region due to constant aerial threats. The situation remains a focus of attention, and repairs and recovery work will continue to restore normal life for the residents of Odesa.
