Over 24 thousand dangerous toys discovered in Ukraine: inspection results.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, more than 24 thousand units of children's products posing a health threat have been identified. Some toys may cause toxic reactions and harm children.
This was reported by the State Consumer Service.
Dangerous toys
Throughout 2025, inspectors discovered over 24,000 toys that do not meet technical regulations. Among them, 55 types of products were deemed dangerous, of which 28 are children's toys.
"During laboratory analysis, specialists recorded exceeding levels of harmful chemicals, low material quality, and dangerous designs that could lead to poisoning, allergic reactions, or even injuries," the agency's statement said.
Recommendations for parents
Experts advise parents to check labeling, demand certificates, and purchase products only from official retail outlets. Particular attention should be paid to smell, paint, and small parts — as these factors can often cause problems.
It was previously reported that tea was imported into Ukraine that could cause choking and death.
These results underscore the importance of monitoring the quality of children's products in the market. It is crucial for parents to remain cautious when selecting toys, as adhering to simple recommendations can protect their children from potential dangers. The State Consumer Service promises to continue monitoring the situation to ensure children's safety in Ukraine.
