Elections in Germany: Liberals accuse Scholz of manipulating the Ukraine issue.
Leader of the Free Democratic Party Christian Lindner condemned politicians who use solidarity with Ukraine for their own political purposes.
He expressed his criticism during a Bundestag session, stating that Chancellor Olaf Scholz circumvented the Constitution by dissolving the ruling coalition, seizing an additional 15 billion euros in debt that Lindner claims were supposed to support Ukraine.
The leader of the FDP also accused Scholz of using pensioners in Germany against Ukraine in the electoral campaign.
Lindner called on politicians participating in the campaign based on solidarity with Ukraine to forget about claims to leadership in Germany.
The Bundestag expressed its support for Ukraine by adopting a decision to mobilize three billion euros in additional aid without increasing the debt ceiling.
