Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the destruction of two Russian planes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers for their bravery and resilience, emphasizing that this indicates the success of Ukrainian special units. The Armed Forces also destroyed military warehouses. Zelensky stressed that this was made possible thanks to the long-range capabilities of the Ukrainian forces in the sky and at sea.

One of the destroyed Russian planes became a global news story as it was the first historical instance of a hostile aircraft being destroyed by a naval drone. The strike was carried out in the Black Sea near the port city of Novorossiysk.

The information about the destruction of two Russian Mi-8 helicopters, as claimed by Russian propagandists, has not been confirmed. It was noted that this was a painful loss for Russia.

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, called the destruction of the Russian Mi-8 helicopter using a naval drone a historic operation. He also noted that previously Magura V5 drones had already attacked enemy air forces, but at that time Russian equipment still reached the coastline.
