Kryvyi Rih: man called the police over shooting to pick up his child.
According to ТСН: The unusual act of a 52-year-old resident led to administrative liability and a fine. The man deliberately made a false call to emergency services, claiming that there was a shooting.
According to the Patrol Police of Kryvyi Rih, they received a signal about hooliganism. The caller reported that a neighbor was shooting at him. Upon quickly arriving at the scene, the patrol officers found that the information about the shooting was false after speaking with the caller.
The local resident explained that the real reason for the call was completely different — he wanted the patrol officers to give him a ride to pick up his daughter from school. For the deliberately false call to services (police, ambulance, SES), the patrol issued a ruling regarding the man under Article 183 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (CAO), imposing a fine of 850 hryvnias.
"We once again urge you to be responsible and remind you that every action has consequences," the police concluded.
This incident highlights the importance of responsible behavior when calling emergency services. False reports can divert patrol officers from real calls and create danger for others. Caution should be taken when using services, as thoughtless actions may lead to liability.
Unfortunately, similar incidents are not isolated. For example, in the capital, a 37-year-old driver of a Porsche Cayenne caused an accident and aggressively attacked other participants. In California, a birthday celebration turned tragic — during a shooting, four people died, including children. These events underscore the importance of being responsible for one’s actions in society.
