Railway Stops Train for Child: How Victoria's Examination Was Saved
According to TSN.ua: The story of 6-year-old Victoria from Khmelnytskyi became an example of quick response and humanity in a difficult situation. The child, who has an autoimmune disease and wears a neck brace, could have missed an important examination at the 'Okhmatdyt' hospital due to bad weather. Last spring, Victoria was diagnosed with a rare bone disease, which led to a compression fracture of the spine. The trip to Kyiv for examinations happens once every three months, but this time the situation was complicated.
In Khmelnytskyi, a lot of snow fell, which negatively affected transportation. The car of Victoria's mother's acquaintance, Iryna Vlasenko, could not start due to low temperatures. As a result, the family found themselves in a difficult situation, as getting to the station on time was extremely important for the examination.
When Iryna Vlasenko contacted the railway, she was pleasantly surprised by the amount of support from people and the quick response. The railway agreed to stop the train, which allowed Victoria to reach the hospital on time.
“Unfortunately, we did not attend school for the first of September, nor the graduation in kindergarten - we were in hospitals,” emphasized Iryna, highlighting the importance of medical examinations for her daughter's health.
This story has become a symbol of kindness and mutual assistance, as thanks to the efforts of railway workers, Victoria received a chance for timely treatment.
This case highlights the importance of quick responses from services and community support in critical situations, especially when it comes to children's health. Such stories remind us of the importance of preserving humanity and the willingness to help one another, especially in the face of natural disasters or other emergencies.
