Over 200 Drones Strike Ukraine, Zelenskyy Reveals Updated Shahed Count.
Fresh Russian Assaults Hit Ukraine
According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced today that Russia launched more than 200 Shahed drones in a new wave of attacks across the country, resulting in civilian casualties, including in Zaporizhzhia. Strikes were also reported in the Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. These latest assaults mark another escalation in the ongoing conflict, with drones targeting both military and civilian areas.
A fresh air raid alert was declared in Kyiv, underscoring the precarious security situation in multiple regions. The attacks damaged a kindergarten and a Ukrposhta delivery vehicle. Zelenskyy emphasized that
“the Russians are not stopping the war”and urged decisive action, stating that
“Putin must choose diplomacy and a genuine peace”. These developments highlight the continued threat to Ukrainian civilians and the intensification of hostilities.
Humanitarian Toll of the Conflict
The situation in Ukraine remains extremely tense, as the new strikes underscore Russia’s unrelenting aggression. The Ukrainian government is calling on the international community to ramp up support, given that attacks on civilian infrastructure and mounting casualties are deepening the conflict’s humanitarian crisis.
