Zelensky spoke about the topics of the meeting with Trump: security guarantees and reconstruction.

According to ТСН: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shared information about the planned meeting with US President Donald Trump.

He noted that the teams from both countries prepared well, creating the first drafts of several important documents. There are issues that will be discussed exclusively at the leaders' level.

"First of all, I want to say that our teams have worked quite well. I am grateful. And they have prepared the first drafts of several documents. There are some issues that we can only talk about, at the leaders' level," said Zelensky.

Zelensky also emphasized that the main topic of discussion with Trump will be security guarantees. The president thanked the Ukrainian and American sides for creating the relevant document.

"We will be talking about security guarantees. I thank both sides for the fact that the document was indeed very good; the developments are strong now," added the President of Ukraine.

Among other topics of the meeting will be reconstruction of Ukraine.

Zelensky also touched upon the topic of readiness of the 20-point peace plan, noting that it is almost complete.

"To be honest, that 20-point plan that we have been working on is 90% ready. Our task is to make sure that everything is ready at 100%. It's not easy. And no one says that 100% will happen right away, but nevertheless. We must bring closer the desired result with each such meeting, with each such conversation," expressed the head of state.

Let us recall that Zelensky previously announced an urgent meeting with Trump, which will take place after the report of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umierov on the results of contacts with American partners. The president emphasized that a number of strategic issues may be resolved by the end of the year.

According to information from Axios journalist Barak Ravid, Trump will meet with Zelensky on Sunday, December 28, at Mar-a-Lago.

Thus, an important meeting between the leaders of the two countries could become a key stage in shaping new relations between Ukraine and the USA. The emphasis on security and reconstruction issues indicates the serious intent of both parties to cooperate to achieve common goals in difficult times.
