Winter Support: Payments Have Already Started for Millions of Ukrainians.
According to ТСН: Payments under the "Winter Support" program have begun in Ukraine for applications submitted since November 15.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that "Payments under the 'winter support' program have already begun - for those who submitted applications through 'Diya', as well as via 'Ukrpost'. Payments have already commenced, including in frontline and border regions. In such communities, over 133 thousand applications have been submitted via 'Ukrpost', while the total through the network is nearly 550 thousand. The number of applications in 'Diya' is around 11 million. It is important to submit an application this year, before Christmas."
Program and Conditions
Let us remind you that the "Winter Support" program has been implemented in Ukraine. Since November 15, the acceptance of applications for a one-time payment of 1,000 hryvnias has started, which can be made for oneself as well as for a child.
The funds received can be used for:
- payment of utility services,
- purchase of medications,
- food products of Ukrainian production (excluding excise goods),
- books,
- charitable donations,
- postal services.
Applications can be submitted until December 24, 2025. Funds will be credited to the National Cashback card for payments, and they can be spent until June 30, 2026.
Cabinet's Expectations
The Cabinet of Ministers hopes that the "Winter Support" program will benefit between 10 to 14 million Ukrainians during the winter period of 2025-2026.
In addition, the president instructed the Cabinet to prepare a comprehensive "winter support" program, which will launch in December. He also announced the launch of the transport support program "UZ-3000", which will allow Ukrainians to travel by train for free up to three thousand kilometers.
This new program will become an important financial support for many Ukrainians during this difficult winter period. To improve the social situation, the government continues to seek new solutions that will provide assistance to those who need it most.
