Mayor Vitali Klitschko detailed the crisis, highlighting the efforts of utility and energy workers who are laboring to restore the heating supply. These attacks on energy systems are a recurring tactic in the ongoing war, creating severe hardships for civilians during winter.

To address the widespread damage, emergency repair crews from other Ukrainian cities have been brought in to assist. Specialists are providing aid from:
- Lviv
- Poltava
- Chernihiv
- Vinnytsia
- Zhytomyr
- Mykolaiv
- Odesa
- Rivne
- Kropyvnytskyi
Mayor Klitschko also noted that teams from "Ukrzaliznytsia," the national railway company, are contributing to the restoration work.
Meanwhile, residents of the Troieshchyna district protested the continuing lack of electricity and heating. In a related incident underscoring the perilous conditions, journalist Marjan Kushnir rescued a 4-year-old child from an apartment in Bilohorodka.
