The leaders of China and North Korea agreed to strengthen cooperation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of developing relations between the countries and noted China's readiness to write a new page in their cooperation. China is North Korea's main trading partner. It is also worth noting that North Korea recently deepened its ties with Russia. A strategic agreement was signed between these two countries, which includes elements of mutual defense.

In a letter to his Chinese counterpart, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un committed to continuing to strengthen relations with China in accordance with the demands of a new era. There are certain organic changes in North Korea's constitution that could lead to tension on the Korean Peninsula. Amendments to the constitution will be discussed at a parliamentary session. It is worth noting that earlier Kim Jong Un proposed to amend the constitution so that South Korea would be considered as the main enemy and North Korea had plans for its "occupation, subjugation, and return" in the event of a conflict.

Experts fear that North Korea may use force, including nuclear weapons, to achieve its goals and that the revised constitution may become a cause for new conflicts between the Koreas. This situation is complex, given the changing geopolitical realities, particularly North Korea's rapprochement with Russia and the threat to stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the region as a whole.
