According to ТСН: Dermatologist Katie Belezney from Canada decided to visually demonstrate the effect of Botox by inviting her husband Ben, who gladly agreed to become a 'guinea pig'. He helps his wife shoot content for social media.

To show the results even from a small dose of botulinum toxin, Katie injected the substance only into the right side of Ben's face. After the procedure, his features became asymmetric, but this was her main goal - to showcase the difference in results.

Katie runs popular social media accounts where she shares skin care tips and explains the nuances of cosmetic procedures. She is confident that neuromodulators like Botox are a 'safe and natural way to temporarily reduce wrinkles and signs of aging'.

On her website, the doctor notes that targeted injections relax certain muscles, making the face appear smoother and fresher. However, many people want not just to hear the theory but also to see changes with their own eyes.

Results of the experiment

In a video that Katie published on YouTube, she showed the specific areas where injections were made: the forehead, 'crow's feet', the area under the lower eyelid, the DAO muscle that lowers the corners of the mouth, and the platysma muscles in the neck.

After two weeks, the results became evident. When smiling, the wrinkles on the treated side almost disappeared, the eyes looked wider, and the forehead was smooth. The difference between the right and left sides of the face was noticeable: the treated side had fewer folds, and the skin looked more even. This was also evident when frowning or grimacing.

Social media users reacted positively to the experiment. One commentator wrote that he knew almost nothing about Botox, so the video was a big revelation for him. Belezney jokingly replied that she was glad to be helpful - and that for such a cause, even her husband did not mind suffering a little.

Remember the ideal dosage of Botox.

Katie and Ben's experiment attracted attention not only due to its interesting approach in demonstrating aesthetic procedures but also because of the positive feedback from viewers. Many of them became genuinely interested in the capabilities of Botox and raised questions about the safety and efficacy of the procedure. Such initiatives by doctors help reduce the level of fear and myths surrounding cosmetic interventions.
