Andriy Yermak Regains His License to Practice Law: Implications Explained.
Andriy Yermak's Legal License Reinstated
According to TSN.ua: Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President's Office, has had his license to practice law reinstated. This right, which he first obtained in 1995, had been suspended since February 20, 2020. In 1997, Yermak also registered the legal entity "International Law Company" LLC. This development is significant as it allows a prominent former official to return to private legal practice.
Dismissal from Office and Future Plans
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Andriy Yermak from his role as head of the President's Office on November 28, 2023. Following his dismissal, Yermak stated his intention to go to court to lift the seizure of his property. In a separate matter, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense confirmed that Yermak has not applied to any territorial recruitment center for military service, and the General Staff has no records of the former presidential chief of staff serving in the armed forces.
The reinstatement of his law license strongly suggests Yermak plans to resume active work in the legal field after his change in status within the government. This move could be crucial for his future career, providing a foundation for a new phase of professional development, particularly in the context of challenging the seizure of his assets and potentially taking on other legal cases.
