According to TSN.ua: A bus carrying miners in Ternivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, was hit by a double strike from Russian drones, killing 12 people and injuring 13 others, five of whom are in serious condition. The attack occurred as the workers were returning from their shift. This incident highlights the ongoing dangers faced by civilians in frontline regions far from the main battlefields.
The Victims
Among the wounded is 28-year-old Denys, who suffered severe head and internal injuries and is in extremely critical condition.
"What the surgeons saw when they opened his abdomen was horrific," medical staff commented on Denys's state.Another survivor, 22-year-old Dmytro, who has worked at the mine for five years, described the moment:
"The bus started shaking, the windows blew out. We got out of the cabin as fast as we could. The bus lost control and crashed into a fence near a gas station."
Doctors in Dnipro are working around the clock to provide the necessary care to the victims. The condition of five of the hospitalized miners is assessed as serious. The tragedy has sparked widespread public outcry, focusing attention on the need to ensure the safety of workers in hazardous conditions.
TSN correspondent Anastasia Nevirna noted that the scale of the disaster demands urgent action to improve miner safety and protect against similar attacks in the future.
