The rescue operation is ongoing, and teams are actively engaged in clearing the debris. The situation currently looks terrible: four dead and 40 injured.
The shelling struck civilian infrastructure, specifically a large enterprise and a car service center that were severely affected.
Eyewitness accounts: "We didn't have time to react"
Eyewitnesses report that the alarm sounded only a moment before the strike, which did not allow for a timely response.
"The alarm went off and there was immediately a hit. How to react? We didn’t have time. The stairs were unharmed. We came out by the stairs. A lot of dust, loud noise, many tears, terrified people. Everything as usual," said a local resident.
Employees of the affected enterprise described the consequences of the strike as catastrophic.
"Our enterprise has been severely damaged, ceilings collapsed, windows blown out, our entrance was slightly blocked. We crawled out as best as we could. And there are casualties among us. The dead were not by the windows, they were simply inside the building. We are just an enterprise that deals with leather goods," said an employee.
The attack was yet another devastating blow to civilian infrastructure, which continues to suffer losses due to hostilities. Rescue services remain on site to assist the victims and carry out their work under challenging conditions. The shelling underscores the need for enhanced security measures in regions most affected by the war.
