Attacks in Ukraine on March 24–25, 2023
According to UATV: On March 25, 2023, Russian strikes targeted areas in Ukraine, including Kharkiv and the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing injuries and property damage. In Kharkiv, two drones struck two separate districts, leaving two women—aged 66 and 70—injured, with one in critical condition. In the city's Novobavarskyi district, five more people were hurt, among them men aged 71 and 58, as well as an 84-year-old woman.
During the previous day, March 24, a 67-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man were wounded in Dnipro. Over the two-day period, Russia deployed 147 attack drones, of which Ukrainian forces intercepted 121, according to Oleh Syniehubov. These figures were also confirmed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Impact on Civilians and Regional Situation
The strikes caused extensive material damage and heightened anxiety among local residents. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide aid to those affected.
These incidents are part of the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, now in its second year. The use of drones and the persistent threat of new attacks underscore the fragile security environment in the region. Both government agencies and humanitarian organizations are working to support victims, while the local population demonstrates resilience under challenging circumstances.
These events once again highlight the urgent need for continued international support for Ukraine in its fight for security and sovereignty.
