Shooting at California Shopping Mall: Three Injured.
According to ТСН: On Friday, shots were fired in the crowded Westfield Valley Fair shopping center, resulting in two people being injured.
According to eyewitnesses who contacted emergency services, there were traces of blood and shells near the entrance to the store. People, engulfed in panic, rushed out of the premises, while others hid in stores, behind shelves, or among clothing. Employees at Bloomingdale's locked customers in storerooms and blocked the doors.
“It was real panic. It felt like the building was shaking,” said eyewitness Sean K. to the publication.
The police, who arrived at the scene, found three injured: a man, a woman, and a 16-year-old girl. All the victims were hospitalized, but their lives are not in danger.
The authorities reported that the incident shows no signs of a terrorist act. Preliminary data suggests that the shooting was a result of a conflict between the attacker and the injured man. The woman and the minor girl were innocent victims.
After the police arrived, shopping mall visitors were able to leave their shelters. The search for the shooter continues.
It should be noted that this is not the first shooting incident this week, as similar circumstances also arose earlier in Washington. Such incidents highlight the need to strengthen security in public places and take measures to prevent violence.
