Poroshenko's post about the halt of gas transit. Why is the network mocking?.
Ex-president Petro Poroshenko welcomed the halt of Russian gas transit through Ukraine and called this decision correct. He also boasted that he was the one who took the first step to free Ukraine from the gas influence of the Kremlin.
Poroshenko noted that gas contracts with Russia have always been a tool of political blackmail, and during his presidency, bilateral negotiations with Russia were stopped, the European Commission and the United States were involved, and no Russian ultimatum was conceded to.
In 2015, Ukraine completely refrained from purchasing Russian gas and signed agreements with European suppliers. A lawsuit was also filed with the Stockholm Arbitration and won 4.9 billion dollars, which were directed to the needs of the army.
In response to the criticism online, Maryana Bezuhla and Vitaliy Chepinoga coincided. Bezuhla reminded that Poroshenko was the president, and Chepinoga noted that the first to refuse Russian gas was Yatsenyuk's government, which Poroshenko's team later ousted from power.
On January 1, the halt of Russian gas transit through Ukraine began. President Zelensky called this event one of Moscow's biggest defeats. In addition, the Czech Republic is ready to help Slovakia ensure stable gas supplies after the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine.
