Snowstorms paralyzed Ivano-Frankivsk region: bus stuck on the road to Bukovel.
Snowstorms in Ivano-Frankivsk region
According to ТСН: Powerful snowstorms are continuing in Ivano-Frankivsk region, seriously complicating the situation on highways, especially on routes to ski resorts, including Bukovel.
The bad weather has already caused significant delays in public transport. In the village of Ugryniv in Ivano-Frankivsk district, a scheduled bus got caught in a snow trap.
The vehicle got stuck in large snowdrifts, barely making it onto the route. The driver could not resolve the snow problems on their own, so rescuers were called to the scene.
Conditions in the highlands
It should be reminded that weather conditions in the highlands of the Carpathians sharply deteriorated at the end of December. On Mount Pip Ivan, the temperature dropped to -17 degrees, with snow, strong winds, and limited visibility. DSNS rescuers warn of serious danger for tourists and urge them to adhere to safety rules in the mountains.
These weather conditions can create difficulties not only for tourists but also for local residents. It is recommended to carefully monitor information from rescue services and avoid traveling in dangerous conditions to prevent endangering oneself. Snow drifts once again confirm the importance of adhering to road safety, especially in winter.
