Crash Occurs on Kyiv-Chop Highway
According to TSN.ua: On the morning of January 17, at approximately 8:00 AM, a scheduled international bus traveling from Vienna, Austria, to Kyiv, Ukraine, was involved in a serious accident on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the Stryi district. The Setra-brand bus veered off the roadway, colliding with a metal guardrail and a tree. The crash resulted in nine people requiring medical attention, with seven of those individuals subsequently hospitalized.
At the time of the incident, the bus was carrying 25 passengers. The 59-year-old driver escaped serious injury. The circumstances leading to the crash are currently under investigation by police, who are working to determine the precise cause and ensure road safety. The Kyiv-Chop highway is a major transport artery in western Ukraine, frequently used by international coaches.
