The European Union urges Russia to withdraw North Korean troops from its territory
The European Union expressed its outrage and called on Russia to immediately withdraw North Korean troops from its territory. This statement was made at the Permanent Council of the OSCE in Vienna. The European Union is actively coordinating its actions with international partners to respond to this dangerous situation.
Earlier, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, already expressed his outrage over the increasing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia. He condemned the illegal purchases of ballistic missiles by Russia from North Korea and their use against Ukraine.
Furthermore, the European Union called on Russia to end the aggressive war against Ukraine, which has brought unbearable suffering and destruction. All troops and military equipment must be completely withdrawn from Ukrainian territory. The European Union also expressed its outrage at the support from third countries, such as Belarus, Iran, and North Korea, for Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. It called on all countries to refrain from providing any assistance or support to this aggressive war, which violates international law.
