According to ТСН: In Chernihiv, a Russian drone attacked a five-story residential building. Preliminary reports indicate that as a result of this strike, one elderly woman was killed and five other people were injured.
This information was reported by the State Emergency Service (SES).
Rescuers evacuated nine individuals and saved four residents who remained in the building. The strike caused serious damage to the building from the fourth to the second floor, and a fire broke out. All emergency services are working at the scene, with firefighting and debris clearance ongoing.
“We evacuated nine people and saved four more residents; firefighting and debris clearance are currently underway,” said SES rescuers.
Currently, information about the condition of the injured and the extent of the destruction is being clarified.
Additionally, it should be noted that earlier reports indicated damage to energy facilities in Chernihiv region due to shelling that occurred on December 24. This led to power outages in the area.
This tragedy further highlights the dangerous situation in the region, where military actions are constantly taking place. Local residents are facing the consequences of attacks that affect their daily lives, including electricity supply and safety in their homes.
