Iranian Administration Rejects Claims

According to TSN.ua: Officials in Tehran have strongly refuted allegations that President Masoud Pezeshkian asked Donald Trump for a ceasefire. Seyyed Mehdi Tabatabai, a spokesperson for the Iranian president’s office, stated that the Islamic Republic’s stance on defending its territorial integrity remains unchanged. He stressed that the country will not alter its position on national defense against enemy aggression or its conditions for ending what it describes as an imposed war.

Tabatabai dismissed the reports of a ceasefire request as a “lie spread by criminals.” Iran’s official position remains firm, highlighting the nation’s determination to protect its national interests. This denial comes amid heightened tensions between the two countries, with the United States maintaining its support for Israel in the ongoing regional conflict.

Trump and Escalation of the Conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump has characterized Iran’s new leader as less radical and more pragmatic than his predecessors. However, he has simultaneously threatened Iran with a ground operation that could be launched by April 6. The statements from both leaders underscore the strained relations between Iran and the United States, signaling further escalation of the regional conflict.

This situation highlights the long-simmering confrontation between Iran and the U.S., which has persisted for years. Iran’s refusal to engage in negotiations and its resolve to safeguard its national interests could lead to an intensification of military actions in the region. Meanwhile, Trump’s warning of a potential military operation reflects Washington’s readiness to take aggressive measures in response to perceived Iranian threats, a move that could have serious repercussions for stability across the Middle East.
