Five things that will really help during power and water outages.
According to ТСН: Experience shows that even basic preparation can significantly reduce stress levels. Here are five tips to help cope with power and water outages without unnecessary panic and losses.
Supply of technical water, not just drinking water
Many people only consider bottled drinking water, forgetting about technical needs. Water for flushing, handwashing, or quick cleaning is equally important. Having several canisters, buckets, or bottles filled in advance will resolve this issue for a few hours.
Power bank or charging station
A phone without connection is a separate problem. A power bank with a capacity of 20,000 mAh or more allows you to charge a smartphone, router, or flashlight several times. Small charging stations can connect a desk lamp or even a low-power kettle. It’s not just about comfort; it’s about controlling the situation.
Gas burner or camping stove
An electric stove without power becomes practically unusable. A camping burner with a canister allows quick cooking or boiling water. It takes up minimal space and needs no special maintenance. Use it cautiously in a well-ventilated area.
Flashlights, not candles
While candles create coziness, they can also be dangerous. LED flashlights, especially headlamps or those with USB charging, are much safer. One of these flashlights will come in handy in the hallway, bathroom, or when searching for items in the dark.
Cash and small change
When terminals and ATMs are down, even a small amount of cash can be useful. Additionally, it’s helpful to have notes with important numbers and a minimum supply of batteries on hand. These are the details that can solve everyday problems when other power sources are down.
In such difficult times when electricity and water may be unavailable, it is important to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances. Proper preparation will help maintain calm and avoid unnecessary stress, and simple solutions can be lifesavers in daily life. Be cautious, plan ahead, and you will be able to cope more easily with similar situations.
