According to ТСН: Since the start of the 'Winter Support' program, several stages of cash payments have been conducted, but not all Ukrainians have received the necessary assistance. As of a certain moment, 15.8 million applications have been submitted for the 'winter thousand'.

The Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Tetiana Kirienko, noted:

'As of today, we already have 15,860,000 applications. This is quite a large number, considering that applications for assistance can be submitted until December 24. But we are ready for this. I want to assure everyone: there will be enough funds. All applications will be fulfilled, and everyone will receive their 'winter support' of 1,000 hryvnias.'

To receive payments of 6,500 UAH, which can be requested until December 17, 342 thousand Ukrainians from the most vulnerable categories have applied. Approximately 200 thousand people have already received these funds.

A representative of the Ministry of Social Policy also reported that Ukrainians usually spend the 'winter thousand' on paying utility bills, purchasing medicines, and donating to the army. Meanwhile, Kirienko noted that the 6,500 UAH assistance can only be used for certain categories of goods, such as warm winter clothing, footwear, medicines, and vitamins.

Recall that payments under the 'winter support' program are ongoing in Ukraine. The program started on November 15, providing a one-time payment of 1,000 UAH to all Ukrainians officially residing in the country, and from November 21, 6,500 UAH is also paid to those experiencing difficult life circumstances.

In the context of the winter season, the 'Winter Support' program aims to support Ukrainians, especially those categories of the population who have found themselves in difficult life situations. Providing these financial payments is expected to help people cope with additional expenses for utilities and basic needs.
