Kramatorsk Left Without Power After Complete Blackout.
Power Outages in Ukraine – Latest Updates
According to TSN.ua: On March 20, 2023, the city of Kramatorsk experienced a full emergency blackout, leaving residents without electricity and severely disrupting daily life. The exact cause of the outage remains unknown at this time. In addition to Kramatorsk, parts of several neighboring towns in Donetsk Oblast were also affected by the power cuts.
Energy providers DTEK and the local electricity utility have already announced scheduled hourly blackout plans for March 21. However, authorities indicate that if no new strikes target the power grid, the planned outages in Ukraine during March, April, and May are expected to be short in duration. It is worth noting that on March 20, four Ukrainian regions were partially without electricity due to Russian attacks.
Current State of Electricity Supply
The electricity supply situation in Ukraine remains challenging, especially amid ongoing threats from military hostilities. Restoring the energy infrastructure requires significant time and resources, and progress hinges on the stability of regions under attack. While scheduled hourly blackouts help residents plan their daily routines more effectively, their implementation depends on how the situation evolves across the country.
