Kuleba talked about how his dismissal from the government affected his parents.

Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba shared that his parents reacted strongly to his dismissal. They felt unjustly wronged not because he lost the position, but because they considered it unfair. Kuleba emphasized that he has always been the best child for his parents.

On September 9, the Verkhovna Rada decided to dismiss Dmytro Kuleba from the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted a request to the parliament for the appointment of Andriy Sybiha to this position. The parliament supported this decision with a majority of votes.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell thanked Dmytro Kuleba for their cooperation. He noted that they have gone through many challenges together, starting from the visit to Kyiv in 2020 and ending with Kuleba’s participation in every EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting after the Russian aggression.

In response, Dmytro Kuleba thanked Josep Borrell and noted that he was the first person to call him on the day the Russian aggression began. He assisted Ukraine and supported bold decisions.

Kuleba learned about his dismissal during a workout in the gym. He claims that the resignation went smoothly for him. He noted that he had been a minister for four and a half years and does not regret it. He has always been aware that the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs is at the discretion of the President of Ukraine, and when the President says he no longer sees him in this position, he will be genuinely grateful for the opportunity to have been useful to the country.
