In Vyshhorod, power has been restored after four days of outages: what is the forecast for the future.
According to ТСН: In Vyshhorod, located in the Kyiv region, electricity supply has been restored after four days without power due to a large-scale attack by Russia on December 27.
According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, emergency outages continue on the left bank of the region, and repair work is underway in areas with the most significant damages.
In the affected communities of the Obukhiv district, heat supply has also been restored.
According to DTEK data, energy workers have successfully supplied electricity to more than 9,000 households.
"The enemy severely damaged the substation. Work continued for 4 days without breaks, day and night," the company reported.
At this moment, all families have access to electricity again.
What is the forecast for outages
Energy expert Stanislav Ihnatiev stated on the air of "KYIV24" that harsh outage schedules are expected in Vyshhorod, and the restoration of the substation may take several months.
"Most substations, especially in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as Odesa, are currently operating in emergency modes," he noted.
The expert added that residents of Vyshhorod should not expect relief in outage schedules anytime soon.
As a result of the December 27 attack, more than 320,000 consumers in the Kyiv region were without power.
Vyshhorod is working to ensure utilities: 11 tents have been deployed and 14 generators have been involved to support 22 apartment buildings.
Residents are uniting and supporting each other to cope with these difficult times more easily.
This situation underscores the serious consequences of the war on infrastructure and the daily lives of Ukrainians. Vyshhorod, like other affected areas, continues to work on restoring essential utilities, although full stabilization may take a long time. The situation remains complex, and hope for a quick recovery relies on the efforts of energy workers and local authorities.
