Widespread Russian Assault on January 24th

According to TSN.ua: On January 24th, Russia launched a large-scale attack across Ukraine, damaging more than 170 sites, including critical energy infrastructure and residential buildings. The assault resulted in one fatality in Kyiv and approximately 40 injuries nationwide. Among the injured, over 30 people were recorded in Kharkiv, including two children, and a maternity hospital in the city was also damaged. In the capital, 6,000 homes lost heating and 88,000 households were temporarily left without electricity. This attack is part of a sustained campaign targeting Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, particularly during the winter months.

Aid for the Affected Population

To support residents, authorities in Kyiv deployed over 1,300 'resilience centers,' which include 91 heating points set up by the State Emergency Service at 68 locations. These centers have distributed more than 6,000 meals. Across Ukraine, nearly 11,000 such support points have been established, demonstrating the scale of the emergency response. To repair the damage, 150 specialized high-altitude rescue workers have been mobilized to work on restoring the affected structures.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported on the severe consequences of the attack and the ongoing need to assist victims. Authorities continue to coordinate efforts to restore infrastructure and ensure public safety amid the ongoing conflict.
