Large-Scale Attack on Ukraine

According to TSN.ua: In the early hours of April 1, Russian forces launched a massive drone strike against Ukraine. According to the Air Force, approximately 70 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected, attacking targets in the Kyiv region.

Regional Developments

The assault unfolded across multiple Ukrainian regions. Groups of enemy drones originating from Kherson moved northeast through Mykolaiv toward Kirovohrad. Near the settlements of Ustynivka and Bobrynets in Kirovohrad, a northwestern trajectory was observed. Additionally, drones in Mykrovohrad targeted Voznesensk from the east, while those in Dnipropetrovsk headed toward Kamianske and Dnipro.

Vinnytsia region also experienced intense activity, with UAVs detected near the following settlements:

  • Tomashpil
  • Borivka
  • Berezivka
  • Kryzhopil
  • Vapnyarka
  • Sharhorod
  • Sviatynets
  • Koziatyn

These drones followed western and northwestern courses. Near Orativ, a vector toward Vinnytsia was recorded. In the Kyiv region, UAVs appeared near Pereiaslav, Baryshivka, Yahotyn, and Zghurivka, moving west and south. In Sumy region—specifically around Shostka, Krolevets, and Mykolaivka—drones set a course for Chernihiv.

The attack sparked a fire at an industrial facility in Khmelnytskyi region. The situation remains tense, with Ukrainian forces continuing to respond to aerial threats.

This assault is part of Russia's ongoing military aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014.

The use of drones highlights the aggressor's evolving combat tactics, endangering civilian safety and infrastructure. Ukrainian military personnel remain on constant alert to counter such threats swiftly, underscoring the need for continued adaptation and strengthening of the country's defense capabilities.
