According to TSN.ua: In the early hours of March 24, 2026, a large-scale attack struck the city of Zaporizhzhia, claiming one life and leaving seven others wounded. The assault involved 820 shelling incidents that impacted 44 settlements across the region, underscoring the intensity of the ongoing violence in eastern Ukraine.
According to officials, five missiles were fired directly at Zaporizhzhia. The bombardments damaged six apartment buildings, two private homes, a store, several non-residential structures, and an industrial facility, further straining the city's already fragile infrastructure.
A local resident recounted the tragedy: 'On the eighth floor, an ambulance took a woman away, but her husband died. They were internally displaced people.'
Zaporizhzhia Mayor Ivan Fedorov confirmed the attack's toll, stating: 'As a result of the strike on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area, one person was killed and seven others were injured.' The situation remains tense as residents continue to grapple with the aftermath of the nighttime shelling.
