Russian Forces Launch Coordinated Assault Across Ukraine

According to TSN.ua: On March 24, 2023, Russian troops conducted a combined strike against targets in Ukraine, leaving four people dead and roughly ten others injured. The assault impacted eleven regions, including Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Sumy. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the effects of the strikes were recorded across these eleven areas.

Casualties and Damage from the Shelling

In Zaporizhzhia, shelling killed a 32-year-old man and wounded seven individuals. Poltava also suffered heavily, with two fatalities and at least eleven people injured. A civilian died in Kherson, where two more residents were wounded. Kharkiv reported the death of a 61-year-old electric train passenger among its civilian losses.

The Sumy region experienced severe consequences: a 13-year-old boy and his father were hurt, along with a 59-year-old man. Over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out more than 80 attacks on 28 settlements across 17 communities in Sumy. Authorities recorded 426 aerial assault devices used during the March 24 offensive.

This wave of shelling underscores Russia's ongoing aggressive campaign against Ukraine, resulting in significant civilian casualties and destruction in populated areas.

The strikes on multiple regions highlight the scale of the threat to ordinary people, leaving numerous victims and injured in their wake. Ukrainian officials continue to urge the international community to provide support in countering the aggression and protecting civilians.
