According to inkorr.com: The Mayor of Dnipro Boris Filatov decided to talk about the recent scandal around the Lviv College of the Ukrainian Catholic University during his vacation. In his account, he shared an unusual story from his own life. During a business trip abroad, he received an invitation to dinner from open gays who turned out to be very welcoming. At first, the mayor's wife was surprised by this invitation, but eventually agreed, calling Boris 'a boor' and urging him to attend this meeting.

'Yeah, as you can see, I'm still alive,' Filatov replied when asked if he actually went to the dinner.

In his social media, the mayor urged people not to worry about the orientation of others. He emphasized that Ukraine has more significant problems and compared the reaction of some citizens to this scandal to 'picking' at Russians.

Director Natalka Vorozhbit noted that her daughter was refused housing at the Ukrainian Catholic University dormitory due to the LGBT flag emoji. The university offered alternative accommodation but on the condition of removing the emoji and obliging not to 'promote LGBT' on the UCU premises.
