Ministry of Defense implements technology to protect soldiers' phones.
The Ministry of Defense has decided to use Mobile Device Management technology to protect soldiers' mobile phones. Deputy Head of the department Kateryna Chornogorenko explained that this technology allows soldiers to have access to a military analogue of the App Store or Play Market, as well as applications specifically designed for military needs. A similar approach is used by the United States Armed Forces for cyber protection of their military.
Mobile Device Management technology allows protecting personal data of soldiers and remotely wipe their phones or tablets. It also allows using personal devices in service, ensuring their security.
President Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced the launch of an application for military personnel named "Army+". The application has basic functions, such as electronic reports and army surveys, and will be supplemented with new features.
