The New Year will bring wet snow and wind: weather forecast for the weekend.
According to ТСН: This weekend, January 3-4, there will be a change in temperature in Ukraine. In some regions, wet snow is expected.
Forecaster Natalka Didenko reported that 'on Saturday, it will be warm in Ukraine: at night and during the day, the temperature will fluctuate from -3 to +3 degrees. In the south and east, the air will warm up to +2+6 degrees.'
Wet snow may fall in the Left Bank and in the Carpathians, while no precipitation is expected in other regions.
Windy weather
The wind will remain strong, and in the Azov Sea region and Crimea, gusts may reach 15-22 m/s.
Didenko added that 'on Sunday night, it will get colder to -2-8 degrees. On January 4, the temperature will be -3+3 degrees, and in the south, +2+8 degrees is expected.'
Precipitation expectations
In most regions of Ukraine, periodic snow is forecast for Sunday. In the southern part, rain is possible, while the western regions will remain without significant precipitation.
It is reminded that forecasters from the 'Ukrhydrometcenter' noted that the weather in January 2026 will be as follows. It was noted that in the first month of the new year, the average temperature will be below normal, and the amount of precipitation will not exceed the usual level.
The stability of the weather in Ukraine at the beginning of January means that one should be prepared for surprises. The uncertainty of temperature and precipitation may affect planning activities for the weekend. Keep an eye on forecasts so as not to be caught off guard.
